Woman arrested after leading police on chase in south San Angelo

SAN ANGELO, Texas — A 20-year-old woman is in the Tom Green County Jail after she led San Angelo Police on a chase Saturday.

According to the San Angelo Police Department, Jessica Brownrigg was arrested after leading officers on a vehicle pursuit in the southside of San Angelo. Brownrigg is facing multiple charges in connection to the incident.

It happened when an SAPD patrol officer initiated a traffic stop on Brownrigg’s vehicle near the intersection of Washington Avenue and West Avenue D. Brownrigg initially complied with the traffic stop, but then took off before the officer could conclude the stop.

Brownrigg proceeded to evade officers and at one point, was seen driving the wrong way on South Koenigheim Street. Officers were able to get in front of the pursuit and successfully deploy “stops sticks” on Brownrigg’s vehicle in the 4000 block of South Bryant Boulevard. All of her tires were successfully deflated and she eventually stopped in the 1500 block of West Loop 306.

Brownrigg has been charged with evading arrest/detention with a motor vehicle and possession of drug paraphernalia.
