SAN ANGELO, Texas — The City of San Angelo Recreation Division and the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department are partnering up to present the annual Youth Fishing Derby, a family-friendly morning of free fishing downtown along the Concho River.
Registration for children begins at 7 a.m. Saturday at the Celebration Bridge, 16 E. Avenue A.
Children must bring their own fishing poles and bait to the event. Trophies for the largest fish and most fish caught will be awarded in the following age groups: 1-6, 7-12 and 13-17.
Free doughnuts and juice will be available while supplies last.
