SAN ANGELO, Texas — The San Angelo Police Department is investigating a crash involving a motorcycle and a passenger at 8:30 p.m. Saturday on Knickerbocker Road.
The SAPD said officers were dispatched to the intersection of Knickerbocker and Industrial Avenue for the crash. Officers found a 20-year-old man, who was operating the motorcycle, and saw he had incapacitating injuries. San Angelo Fire Department medics arrived on the scene and took him to Shannon Medical Center in critical condition.
The driver of the passenger car was not injured.
SAPD’s Traffic Unit and Crime Scene Division responded to the scene to help with the investigation. They found, through investigation, the motorcycle operator was headed eastbound in the 2100 block of Knickerbocker at a high rate of speed and then hit the car at the intersection.
The SAPD said the collision is still under investigation and more information will be released at a later date.
