SAN ANTONIO — A man was fatally shot after getting into a fight with someone at a Walmart parking lot on the south side of town early Monday morning, police say.
It happened just before 7 a.m. in the 1200 block of South East Military Drive near Roosevelt Avenue.
Officers responded to the parking lot where they found the victim, a man in his 30s, shot in his upper body, as well as his bicep and forearm.
Police say the suspect is 70-year-old Michael Wayne Ludwig.
SAPD says the victim was in a truck in the parking lot with a woman when he got into some sort of altercation with the elderly suspect.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene. Both Ludwig and the woman with him were been detained by police.
On Tuesday, SAPD confirmed that Ludwig has been charged with murder.
No other injuries were reported.
