UPDATE: Two suspects arrested after manhunt, TGCSO says

TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — UPDATE (2:26 p.m. Tuesday): Michael D. Pacheco, 37, was arrested after another lengthy manhunt, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office said Monday afternoon. Pacheco was charged with a murder warrant out of New Mexico, but additional charges will be forthcoming. 

Gloria Jaramillo, 36, has been charged with evading arrest/detention.

The victim was transported to Shannon Medical Center. This investigation is still active, according to the Sheriff’s Office.

ORIGINAL STORY: The Tom Green County Sheriff's Office is asking for the public's help finding a shooting suspect, Michael D. Pacheco, who is considered armed and dangerous.

At around 7 p.m. Sunday, the TGCSO, San Angelo Police Department and Texas Department of Public Safety responded to the 800 block of US Hwy 87S in reference to a gunshot victim, who was transported to Shannon Medical Center.

Witnesses on scene told officers a woman and man were seen running north from the incident into a wooded area. Law enforcement set up a perimeter and started a ground search.

TGCSO, SAPD K9 and Drone units and DPS ground and aircraft units all assisted in the search. After a nine-hour search and exhausting all possible leads, the search was ended.

During the search, clothes were found that were described as being the clothing the suspects were last seen wearing, so there are no known current clothing description.

Pacheco and Gloria Jaramillo, who was arrested, were last seen in the 1300 block of Lone Star Lane.
