Updated Monday after police found the man deceased.
Police said a 69-year-old Irving man who had been reported missing more than a week ago was found dead in Andrews County.
A Silver Alert was issued Dec. 3 for Ronald Smith, the Irving Police Department said.
The Andrews County Sheriff Office found Smith and his vehicle in a rural area about 20 miles southwest of Andrews. He was located around 7 p.m. Saturday, police said.
He was around 350 miles from where he went missing.
Authorities said there were no signs of foul play.
Smith was last seen on Nov. 24 in the 700 block of Fouts Drive.
Authorities said Smith was in the beginning stage of dementia, police said.
