ABILENE, Texas — A commercial structure fire caused an estimated $20,000 in damages Thursday afternoon, the Abilene Fire Department said.
According to a release from the AFD, at approximately 3:15 p.m. Thursday, crews to the fire in the 2700 block of Old Anson Road.
Fire crews arrived to find heavy smoke and flames showing from the carport in the backyard. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished and heavy damage was confined to the structure.
There were no injuries reported. Damages are estimated at $20,000, the AFD release said.
