CRANE COUNTY, Texas β The Ector County Sheriff's Office says the three teenagers killed in a head-on collision in Crane County were siblings - and the children of one of its lieutenants and grandchildren of an ECSO retiree.
A GoFundMe account organized by the ECSO said, 18-year-old twins, Jaden and Jackie, and their sister, Nautica, 16, were involved in the crash Wednesday evening on FM 1053, south of Highway 329. All three died on impact.
The teens were the children of Ector County Patrol Lt. Heather Perkins, a 23-year veteran of the department who started at the jail. Perkins' father, Jackie, retired from ECSO in 2015 after serving for 37 years.
"These are Good Folks, a precious family. We humbly ask for prayers and assistance financially to help pay for funeral services and unforeseen expenses that we all know will follow. We absolutely Thank You all !!," the fundraiser said.
The driver of the other vehicle involved in the crash died after being taken to MCH in Odessa.
The siblings were students at Buena Vista ISD. The district canceled school for the rest of the week after receiving the news. Counselors are being made available to all students and staff who need their services.
