SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Texas Education Agency announced Monday it has opened a secure portal for parents and guardians to access their students’ STAAR results and learn how to work with both the students and schools to help improve their scores after the COVID-19 pandemic impacted academic progress.
This year, STAAR results will not be used to evaluate schools or teachers, but are meant to help schools, teachers, families and students determine where they may need additional support or show where the student is meeting expectations, according to an SAISD press release.
