TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — As rain continues to fall in the Concho Valley, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office is advising drivers to avoid certain areas in the county because of flooding.

Tuesday morning, the TGCSO listed the following areas to avoid (or to drive with caution):

  • Use caution on US Hwy 87N near Carlsbad because of flooding in fields near the roadway
  • Avoid FM 1692/McMillan Road/Douglas Loop because of several flooded areas

Tuesday night, the sheriff's office advised drivers to avoid the northern part of the county because of flash flooding and hazardous driving conditions.

Concho Valley Transit says some routes and trips may experience slight delays Tuesday as its team prioritizes safety for all passengers.
