SAN ANGELO, Texas — Over Memorial Day weekend, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office participated in the Texas Department of Transportation "Click It or Ticket" campaign.
Deputies provided extra patrol during the holiday weekend period and conducted 177 traffic stops.
During these traffic stops, deputies took 96 enforcement actions for speeding, 10 enforcement actions for seat belt violations and 93 enforcement actions for other traffic violations.
Deputies also arrested five individuals for the following violations: driving while license invalid, no driver's license, possession of drug paraphernalia, smuggling illegal aliens and other outstanding warrants.
