Traffic stop leads to arrest, drug seizure

TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — A routine traffic stop over the weekend ended with the arrest of the driver and the seizure of a large amount of methamphetamine, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office said.

Early Saturday, Jan. 20, Patrol Division members conducted a traffic stop for a moving violation in north San Angelo. An investigation led to the discovery of an amount of marijuana, unknown pills, items associated with the sale/delivery of narcotics and more than 110 grams of methamphetamine.

The driver and only occupant of the vehicle, Adrien Garcia, 19, of San Angelo, was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana <2 oz. and manufacture/delivery of controlled substance Penalty Group 1< =4G < 200G, a first-degree felony.

He is in the Tom Green County Detention Center with bond set at $21,500.
