CONCHO COUNTY, Texas — A 17-year-old male was killed in a single-vehicle rollover crash Sunday afternoon in Concho County.

According to the preliminary crash report from the Texas Department of Public Safety, Jesus Daniel Perez, 17, of Uvalde, was driving a 2002 Mercury Villager, traveling northbound on US Hwy 83 approximately eight miles south of Eden, when he swerved into the center median.

Perez corrected to the right, and went into a side skid to the left. The vehicle then began to rollover, rolling at least two and a half time before it came to a rest on its roof, facing east in the center median.

The report states Perez, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Perez was the sole occupant of the vehicle at the time of the crash.
