TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — After the arrest of a Wall Independent School District employee for online solicitation of a minor, the Tom Green County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone with children they believe have been contacted by Joshua Alexander Carroll to call the TGCSO criminal investigation division with information.

Wall ISD administrative personnel contacted the TGCSO March 20, 2024, about several underage female students receiving sexually-explicit communications from an unknown person. The unknown person was using TikTok and a texting app. The sheriff's office started a criminal investigation into the complaint.

Investigators found that the person communicated sexually-explicit language describing sexual conduct, tried to solicit sexually-explicit photographs from underage females and provided a pornographic photographic image to a female child younger than 15 years of age.

During the investigation, the suspect was identified as Joshua Alexander Carroll, 33, of San Angelo. He has been employed as an assistant band director at Wall ISD since January 2022.

On Tuesday, May 14, Carroll was arrested by TGCSO investigators and a search warrant was conducted for electronic devices under his care at his home and at Wall High School.

The sheriff's office says through this investigation, several underage students have been confirmed as having been targeted by Carroll.

Anyone with information about Carroll or who thinks their child has been solicited by him, should call Tom Green County Sheriff's Office CID at 325-655-8111.
