SAN ANGELO, Texas — Weeks ago, parts of Colorado and New Mexico experienced record snowfall. While meteorologists don't expect West Texas to see any snow, incoming cold weather will bring temperatures below 40 degrees.
NWS San Angelo's Michael Decker said he expects above average temperatures for the Winter. However, the Pacific's weak La Nina climate pattern doesn't mean there isn't a chance for cold weather.
Decker said February 2021's freeze came during a La Nina year.
