DYESS AIR FORCE BASE, Texas — The 317th Airlift Wing at Dyess Air Force Base will conduct Medium Grit, a full-spectrum readiness exercise, from April 18 - April 22.

According to a release from Dyess, the exercise will show and evaluate the 317th AW’s ability to operate in a contested and degraded operationally limited environment while maintaining the capacity to support all core mission essential tasks.

During the exercise, residents on or near the base may see increased activity, hear announcements over the “giant voice” system, hear sirens and see emergency response vehicles.

Drivers entering or leaving the base may experience delays at the gates.

Anyone with appointments is asked to call in advance and arrive early to ensure exercise operations don't impact services.

For more information, contact the 7th Bomb Wing Public Affairs office at 7bwpa@us.af.mil, 325-696-4820, or by visiting the Dyess Facebook Page.
