ABILENE, Texas — During the America Strong Flightpath, Dyess Air force Base conducted a flyover in the Big Country.
The flyover was a salute to front-line COVID-19 responders.
The statement provided by Dyess AFB:
"Team Dyess came together and conducted these flyovers to honor and show our gratitude for our local and regional health care and first responder heroes. We salute all of the hard work these brave men and women have performed during the COVID-19 pandemic."
Friday afternoon Dyess flew over Abilene Regional Hospital, Hendrick Health System, the Abilene Police Department along with all five fire stations.
Dozens of community members came out to watch the aircraft's zoom over the Big Country and posted their photos and videos to social media.
