BOERNE, Texas — The city of Boerne will be welcoming back the Boerne Youth Athletic Association All-Star team from the Little League World Series on Monday.
"We are so proud of this team and all their success, and we look forward to celebrating their return from Williamsport in true Boerne style," said a Facebook post from the Greater Boerne Chamber of Commerce. "Wear your best orange and yellow, which are the Southwest team colors, and come on out to celebrate."
The Little League players will be escorted by the Boerne Police Department, Boerne Fire Department, and Cavender Chevy for a parade down Main Street.
The city is asking people to show their support of the team by lining the street along the "Hill Country Mile" around 4:30 p.m., as the team is welcomed home.
Immediately following the procession, local officials will congratulate the players for their outstanding games and excellent showing of good sportsmanship at Main Plaza around 5:15 p.m.
Everyone will be welcome at this FREE event for food, drinks and family fun.
