SAN ANGELO, Texas — The Angelo State University Rams football team will kick off its season on the road before opening at home Sept. 14, according to its recently-released schedule.
The Rams will travel for two nonconference games to open the 2024 season Aug. 29 at Fort Hays State. The team returns to Kansas Sept. 7 to face Emporia State, as part of a two-year contract. The Emporia State Hornets will come to San Angelo in 2025.
ASU opens the Lone Star Conference season Sept. 14, as the Rams host Eastern New Mexico to begin the home slate. The Rams hit the road for two games at Western New Mexico Sept. 21 and at UT Permian Basin Oct. 5, with a bye week in between before returning home to play Texas A&M-Kingsville Oct. 12.
On Oct. 26, the Rams host the LSC's newest member, Sul Ross State, in its first season in the conference.
Three of the last four games for the Rams are at home - including the Sul Ross game, Central Washington Nov. 2 and closing out the regular season against West Texas A&M Nov. 16.
