SAN ANGELO, Texas — Tripp Clark, Angelo State Rams baseball, was named the National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association's South Central Region Hitter of the Week after his performance against Cameron over the weekend.
The senior accounting major from Waco led the top-ranked Rams at the plate in a 4-0 sweep of the Aggies.
He was 8-for-13 with four home runs, one triple and 13 RBIs to lead top-ranked Angelo State University to a four-game sweep of Cameron. Clark also scored seven runs, walked once, stole a base and did not strike out.
In the series finale, Clark had a two-homer game with six RBIs, drove in at least two runs and had an extra-base hit in every game.
The Rams continue Lone Star Conference play Friday against UT Permian Basin on the road.
