ARLINGTON, Texas — The Rangers made Nathan Eovaldi's new contract official on Wednesday, a three-year deal worth $75 million.

Now we're seeing some reports on the finer points of the contract, including how much bonus money Eovaldi stands to earn.

MLB insider Jon Heyman reported that $12 million of Eovaldi's $75 million deal will come in the form of a signing bonus, split between two $6 million payments in 2026 and 2028.

Eovaldi will receive $18 million in salary in 2025, followed by $25 million in 2026 and $20 million in 2027.

Heyman also reported a few performance incentives Eovaldi could earn: $250,000 for a Cy Young Award, $200,000 for a second-place finish, $150,000 for third, $100,000 for fourth and $50,000 for fifth; $100,000 for making the All-Star team, winning a Gold Glove or being an MVP in the League Championship Series; and $150,000 for winning a World Series MVP.

Eovaldi was the Rangers' top offseason priority. He was among the top available pitchers this offseason but a necessary signing for the Rangers' rotation depth. More than that, Eovaldi became a clubhouse leader in his first two years in Texas, the first of which resulted in a World Series title with Eovaldi gutting out a win in the clinching Game 5 in Arizona.

Eovaldi, who will turn 35 in February, has battled injuries and also has two elbow surgeries in his past. But he's also still really solid, throwing 170.2 innings with a 3.80 ERA in 2024 after an All-Star campaign in 2023. Despite concerns over wear and tear, Eovaldi has increased his workload in each of the last three seasons. Keep him healthy and Eovaldi will be a major piece of any success Texas has in 2025.
