SAN ANTONIO — It's time to catch up on some San Antonio Spurs news you might have missed.

Tre Jones and wife announce twins are on the way

Congratulations to Spurs guard Tre Jones and his wife Maddy as the pair have announced that they are expecting twins.

And their daughter is happy about the news too!

"Grateful to announce that we are adding 2 more blessings to our family - Jones Twins Coming 2024," he posted on social media.

First viewing party at the Frost Plaza announced

The Spurs are welcoming all fans to the first watch party at the new "Frost Plaza."

The grand opening of the Frost Plaza at The Rock at La Cantera will be on Sunday, Nov. 12. 

There will be a ribbon-cutting ceremony with Frost Bank and Spurs leaders at 3 p.m. The watch party will begin at 4 p.m. with the Spurs taking on the Miami Heat at 6 p.m. on a 40-foot outdoor screen.

“We envisioned Frost Plaza with our fans and community in mind as we looked to build a unique and multipurpose space where we can engage with them in new and exciting ways,” RC Buford, Chief Executive Officer of Spurs Sports & Entertainment said in a release. “This gathering space offers incredible opportunities to support and engage our community, and this fan fest and watch party marks the first of many community-centric events and celebrations to come at Frost Plaza.”

Austin Spurs select David Shriver at the 2023 G League Draft

The Austin Spurs selected forward David Shriver with the seventh overall pick in the first round of the 2023 NBA G League Draft.

Shriver played for Virginia Commonwealth University during the 2022-23 season. In 35 games, he averaged 6.5 points and 2.3 rebounds in 19.2 minutes. Prior to VCU, Shriver appeared in 32 contests for the University of Hartford and averaged 10.7 points and 4.2 rebounds. Shooting .413 (88-213) from beyond the arc, Shriver led the American East Conference in three-pointers made.
