An unidentified male died Monday afternoon on Interstate 20.
According to a release from the Abilene Police Department, dispatch received call at approximately 4:19 p.m. Monday of a subject who had possibly jumped off/fell off the overpass at FM 600 onto westbound lane of I-20.
The subject hit an 18-wheeler (semi tractor-trailer). The male subject died. The report indicated he is from Abilene.
Westbound traffic continued to be rerouted, as of 5:30 p.m. Monday. A justice of the peace pronounced the man dead.
APD said the death investigation is ongoing and no other information available at the moment.
