ABILENE, Texas — UPDATE (8 a.m. Feb. 2): Abilene Police announced Tuesday morning a 58-year-old woman has been arrested in connection with a fatal hit-and-run Sunday in the 3200 block of South Treadaway Boulevard.
On Monday, Feb. 1, Wanda Rani Hebert of Abilene was arrested. She was charged with second-degree felony accident involving death and currently being held at the Taylor County Jail.
UPDATE (10:45 a.m. Feb. 1): The man found in a fatal hit-and-run in Abilene Sunday morning has been identified as Calvin Eugene Roberts III of Abilene.
Abilene Police say there were no witnesses to the crash, and investigators are asking if anyone has any information on the crash to contact the non-emergency number at 325-673-8331.
ORIGINAL STORY: The Abilene Police Department is investigating a fatal pedestrian hit-and-run at the 3200 block of South Treadaway Boulevard.
According to an APD Facebook post, police responded to a man lying in the roadway.
The man was dead and appeared to have been hit by a vehicle Sunday morning, according to the post.
APD did not have a description of the vehicle at the time of the post.
APD is asking anyone with information on the hit-and-run to contact its non-emergency number, 325-673-8331.
