SAN ANGELO, Texas — A juvenile was arrested for brandishing a weapon in a vehicle on the Lake View High School campus after San Angelo Police were notified about a social media post.
The post showed the Lake View student brandishing the firearm on a different date. An SAPD investigation was conducted, with the help of the San Angelo Independent School District, SAPD Criminal Investigations and Anti-Crime units and school SROs.
The investigation is still ongoing, SAPD said, but probable cause was developed for one juvenile for places weapons prohibited, a third-degree felony, and he was arrested for the charge.
Police say this had nothing to do with the untrue threat circulated this week.
