TAYLOR COUNTY, Texas — The Texas Department of Transportation announced a temporary closure for Thursday, Jan. 7, at the intersection of FM 204, also known as Clark Road, and Remington Road.
According to a TxDOT press release, the purpose of the closure is to set the bridge overhangs on US Highway 83/84.
The closure will only affect Remington Road and FM 204 at US Highway 83/84, but not the highway lanes.
Crews will work from approximately 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. with the work expected to be completed by Friday, Jan. 8; however, unexpected delays can occur and require additional time to complete the work.
Digital message boards will notify drivers of the upcoming closure.
Drivers will need to use an alternate route during the closure, according to the release.
TxDOT will update the public on its social media platforms or drivers can visit, DriveTexas.org for real-time road conditions.
