Nineteen of 22 newly-reported COVID-19 cases for Tom Green Co. are from large employer

Earlier this week, the City of San Angelo reported a large employer had its employees tested through a private lab. As of Saturday, 19 tested positive.

TOM GREEN COUNTY, Texas — Twenty-two new confirmed cases of COVID-19 were reported for Tom Green County in Saturday's release from the City of San Angelo's Public Information Office.

Nineteen of the 22 are from one large employer. The business has not been identified.

The City said it does not have demographic information on most of the 19 cases as of now, but will report more information if and when it receives it. Because of this, the demographic information throughout the first page will not add up to the total number of cases.

Tom Green County has confirmed 77 cases since testing began.

Saturday's reported cases are:

  • Black male in his 60s, resident of Coleman county, exposure to known case
  • White male in his 60s, Tom Green County, travel-related
  • White female in her 60s, Tom Green County, travel-related

Results from large employer

  • Seven out-of-state
  • Male in his 30s, Tom Green County
  • 11 pending investigation
